Our Service
Our firm offers a service that will scatter cremated remains within the borders of Yosemite National Park. The fee includes the filing of paperwork, obtaining of permits, having an employee personally supervise the scattering process, and a picture taken from the area of scattering along with the latitude and longitude. This site will also provide space for a memorial statement, a picture of the deceased, the picture from the scattering spot, along with a password protected ability to retrieve the latitude and longitude coordinates. When Can We Scatter?
Our firm will scatter cremated remains in Yosemite National Park in one of three general designations, the High Country of Tuolumne Meadows, The Valley Rim, and the Southern Wawona Area. Due to the limited access of certain areas and trails, the scattering takes place during the months of July, August, or September.
Items Needed:
Cremated Remains sent to our firm via USPS registered mail (No other mail system will ship cremated remains)
State permit (where the cremation took place)
Letter of reqest to scatter cremated remains by next of kin. (see forms area of website)
Check or Money Order for $250.00 made out to New Options funeral Services.
